ARTisBOOK en Block C geven hieraan vorm in een manifestatie die vertrekt vanuithet onderzoek natural relations, maar het perspectief verschuift van documentatie naar ervaring en overdracht. Via een zintuiglijke tentoonstelling, een uitgebreid publieksprogramma en een stadsbreed hop-project worden bezoekers en bewoners actief betrokken. Zo wordt kennis gedeeld door doen, zorg en collectieve ervaring, en groeit het werk letterlijk en figuurlijk de stad in.

For decades, herman de vries has explored the relationship between humans and nature, in which nature is not a subject but an equal presence. Mind moving plants; plants with medicinal and consciousness-altering properties, carriers of ancient knowledge form an important part of his work. At the age of 95, the artist expresses the wish not to let this knowledge disappear, but to pass it on as a living practice.
ARTisBOOK and Block C give shape to this through a manifestation that departs from the research project natural relations, shifting the perspective from documentation to experience and transmission. Through a sensory exhibition, an extensive public programme, and a city-wide hop project, visitors and residents are actively involved. In this way, knowledge is shared through practice, care, and collective experience, allowing the work to grow into the city both literally and figuratively.
